Power station chimneys

Commenting on today's [Thursday] World Wildlife Fund report showing that 10 of the world's 30 most polluting power stations are British, Liberal Democrat Shadow Environment Secretary, Chris Huhne MP said:

"This research shows that the UK now has one in three of the most polluting power stations in Europe, compared with just four of the top thirty in the last report.

"UK electricity generators are going back from gas to the use of the worst climate-destroying coal sources. The Government must urgently provide incentives to clean up coal and retire the worst plants."
