THAMES WATER FINE DESERVED - HUHNE1.24.47pm GMT Fri 28th Sep 2007 Commenting on the £12.5m fine imposed on Thames Water for poor reporting and customer service, Liberal Democrat Shadow Defra Secretary, Chris Huhne MP said: "This fine on Britain's worst water company is well deserved. It seems Thames Water can always be relied upon to let you down. "Not content with charging their consumers sky-high prices, they have failed to meet leakage targets, have the worst pollution record and have now been found to provide poor customer service and inadequate reporting as well. "Ofwat are right to show their teeth and force water companies to do their jobs properly."
